A disparate ecosystem caused delayed onboarding for new employees.
Immedis’ goal is to be the number one tech company in the global payroll space, providing a SaaS solution to enable touchless payroll, and helping customers’ simplify payroll, compliance and employment tax obligations worldwide.
Immedis had traditionally managed its workforce accounts across several enterprise applications including their own in-house developed platform. This caused delays when onboarding new starters, taking up to 10 days for users to have access to all their applications. Due to the highly sensitive data processed in Immedis, they have an ongoing audit requirement to track users and re-certify their access to ensure the people had the least privilege access required to do their jobs. In addition, due to the sensitivity of the data they needed to ensure access was removed when employees left the organization.
The main goal for Immedis was to improve productivity, enhance the employee onboarding experience, and ensure the security of data and systems when provisioning, de-provisioning and reviewing employee access.
SOLUTION
Identity Governance & Administration solution that provided automated lifecycle management for the workforce.
Immedis required an Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solution that provided the following features:
- Providing an interface to create, update and delete employee profiles.
- Automatic management of the joiner/mover/leaver process, assigning the correct resources to employees based on their role.
- Automatic provisioning and de-provisioning of accounts to several business applications.
- Delegated administration for department managers – allowing managers to manage the identities and access for the employees in their team or department.
- User self-service, allowing employees to manage their own identity record, including updating personal details and setting their password.
- Password recovery for users via self-service.
- Allowing managers to regularly review and certify employees’ access to business applications.
After investigating various other COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) IGA solutions, Immedis identified the identity management platform Fastpath (formerly ideiio), along with implementation partner and leading identity security integrator ProofID. A Proof of Concept proved not only the capability of Fastpath (formerly ideiio) to meet the requirements, but the technical ability and proven track record of ProofID to deliver the solution.
RESULTS
Real-time onboarding and off boarding for all staff. Automated provisioning for applications. Audit and compliance requirements satisfied with governance portal. Enhanced user experience.
