Blaine Howarth
Managed Service Engineer, Manchester
Blaine joined ProofID’s apprentice program in 2017 and is a key member of the UK Managed Services Team.
He’s always keen to learn and has been recognized as an individual who constantly delights customers with his professionalism and dedication.
I started at ProofID in 2017 as an apprentice Managed Service Engineer.
Work varies week-by-week. Most days we are troubleshooting issues and finding long-term solutions for tickets logged to our support inbox. This allows us to keep on top of issues and make sure our customers are getting the most out of their ProofID products and services.
We may also find ourselves working on large projects or changes involving the setting up of new applications features, and security options for customers who want to evolve and improve their solutions.
There is always room to learn and gain new skills due to the almost constant development of all the applications we manage. We have internal training resources and a constant flow of new customer requests for features help develop and refine our skills. There are always opportunities for engineers to shadow and work with our experts to expand their skills and knowledge areas.
The main reason I like working here is variety. You are always working on something different and that keeps your interest. And when you’re troubleshooting customer problems, it’s always such a rewarding feeling when you figure out what has been causing an issue.
