Nelnet singled out SailPoint IdentityIQ after a visit to the SailPoint Navigate Conference, and partnered with ProofID to implement the solution in 2021. Business continuity was a top priority. We worked with Nelnet to establish which applications employees needed access to, and which ones they didn’t - and prioritised the most important access to be addressed first.

This combined with an IdentityIQ implementation with dashboards and insights that could demonstrate real-time results for Nelnet’s staff and decision-makers. And by using our Identity Fast Track methodology, we were able to expedite the implementation so that Nelnet could optimise access security and start realising benefits as quickly as possible.

Nelnet’s ability to manage access has been transformed. They’re now able to implement new and more complex applications efficiently, safe in the knowledge that customer data is being kept as safe as possible. In the future, Nelnet plans to work closely with ProofID to fortify its IAM solution with role-based access control (RBAC), and maintain the same structure and guidance that has supported its accelerated production and development so far.
